Napa may get all the attention, but Sonoma is where Northern California locals go to relax and unwind. Here are our thoughts on the best wineries in Napa and Sonoma.

What’s the Vibe?

Napa is all wine-fueled luxury compared to Sonoma, which provides a more laid-back, locally-driven vibe.

Even if you’re not a California local, you’ve probably already tasted some of Napa and Sonoma’s best cabernets and merlots in restaurants around the country, but there’s nothing like a day touring through the Wine Country to make you fall in love with the valley.

Whether you prefer rustic-chic tasting rooms, landscaped gardens, historic chateaus or vineyard views, Sonoma and Napa overdeliver.
